Monday, We're Watching You

Ok, for ourselves, we don't care what day it is.

But we know our Mom really doesn't like Mondays much,
so we promised to keep a stern eye - and paw - on this dastardly day.

She says most of you prolly don't like it either.
So really, we're doing a public service here!

You're welcome.

The Hobbit News Central

In the spirit of public awareness, and also because she's angling for a globally recognized holiday called Thorin's Day, our Mom will be posting relevant, impawtant news tidbits for "The Hobbit". Remember, folks, we still have two movies to go!

First up - she wants everyone to know that today at 3pm, EST, the second movie's trailer will air online. This is available to anyone who has already bought or buys the DVD today. There's a code inside to see "The Desolation of Smaug" before the general population.

Or, you know, you can wait ten minutes and someone will have put it up on youtube.   :)

In other related news......

She found a movie parody entitled The Unexpected Hotness of Dwarves. The woman who wrote this, Sarah Rees Brennan, has tremendous talent. It's VERRRRRRRRY funny. Long, yes, but worth the read. And it will change how you see the movie too.   :)

PS: Bless you, dear England, for giving the world Richard Armitage.  He gave us not only the amazing and unrivaled Thorin Oakenshield, but also Guy of Gisborne. Nobody on earth leans against the wall like Sir Guy.

PPS: Our Mom made us type that. WE don't care.

Last Sunday

We promised a full report on last Sunday's Not So Easy. Here it is.

It was a typical relaxed morning UNTIL - bang, bang, bang.

Our Mom decided it was a good decision to totally destroy our peace
by completely rearranging our bedroom furniture. Yes, OURs. Did WE get
a meow in this too? Nooooooo. Without so much as a by-your-leave she
just did what she wanted to.

We have - had - a canopy bed. That was taken apart, the bed moved,
the desk, dresser, everything, moved around. It took ages to happen, and then just when
we thought it was over, she mucked up our peace even more - ha, didn't think
she could, did you? - by deploying the Noisy Beast.

We hate that even more than the Flashy Beast, which at least is quiet. We're pretty
sure the Noisy Beast could destroy the world if it wanted to.

There may have been a moment - Leia will swear to it, though I'm sure not going to -
when I hid under the bed and made a pitiful yowl. Of course this didn't happen,
but if it had, perhaps it was because I was afraid we were moving out of our house

It's been a week, and we've adjusted, so hopefully she won't get any more creative
ideas in that head of hers. Maybe if we both just sit on it and keep her from getting
out of bed all day, that would help.

Something New

Every kitteh knows it's one of our most impawtant responsibilities to check out anything new in the house. And we made it clear recently that our Mom is.. umm.. just a bit interested in Thorin and the Hobbit movie stuff.

So here I am, doing my job. These are something totally new we've never seen before, called Legos. Lots and lots of little tiny pieces from the Mirkwood spiders escape scene from the next movie. So far I haven't been able to, but I bet these could catch some serious air from a whap of my mighty orange paw.

I'm not entirely sure about all this Lego stuff, but Mom worked on it in here while we watched the movie, so that was pretty nice.

In fact, I decided it was a good time for....

Leia on Wednesday

Good bye, Eric

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we
help pass the word that Eric has left

Many fine, wonderful cats have
left us all since we've been blogging,
but Eric's passing leaves a very
big empty hole for us.

He and Flynn were one of the first
who came to welcome us back in the day.
We extend our deepest sympathies to his family,
and especially to his brother.

Not So Easy Sunday

Some days you just need
to have your paw held.

We'll have a full report of our Not So Easy Sunday
later this week, furriends.

Mom's note: We wrote our post before we saw Eric's bad news.
Our news is nothing more than a bit of silliness, nothing
at all like Eric's problems today. We're very sorry for the
wrong impression!

Our wonderful furriend Eric
needs emergency purrayers.

My Super Secret Hiding Place

We have a very small house, not too many special spots available,
but we make the most of what we have.

THIS has always been my extra special, super secret place.
Until now. Thanks, Mom!

Tuesday, March 19

Our Mom wants to let everyone who cares know that
Tuesday, March 19 is a VERY IMPAWTANT day.

This is the day Thorin comes out on DVD.

She's kind of a very, very big fan of Thorin Oakenshield.
We won't even begin to tell you how many pictures of him
she has on our walls. She has taken a vacation day for the 19th
so she can go to Target, get that DVD at opening -
she has been assured it will be on the shelf at 8 am -
and spend the day with her fav. dwarf.

In addition to all the many pictures on the walls,
she also bought this life size (4'10) cutout of Thorin for our bedroom:

Furriends, it's moments like this when you
have to look at your people and think -
it's a good thing we love you, Mom.

Not So Esy Sunday

Look at me! I should be resting, but no.

Here I am making sure Mom makes up the bed properly.

Hoomins just can't be trusted to do things without our careful snoopervision.

Just can't get good help these days.

Au to the Bridge

We were very surprised to learn yesterday that our good furriend,
Au, has left for the Bridge. Please go visit his 'rents if you haven't already.

To his family, we send our most heartfelt condolences.
It's so difficult to lose our loved ones.

Just Purrfectly Awful

Furriends, have you ever smelled the wonder that is .... bacon? It is simply, pawsomely amazing.

Today for lunch Mom was microwaving some bacon for her biscuit. I walked in, because it smelled so good, and hoped that since I was being so handsome and such a good mancat, she'd notice and give me some.

But wait, it gets worse.

She... she... I don't even know how to meow this, it's so awful but she... decided she had more than she needed and THREW THE REST AWAY!!! NOOOOOO!!! Didn't even offer either of us any of it, just tossed it right into the trash.

This is just so wrong. Hoomins. PFFtttT.
